Our History
Chiros Care was brought to fruition when Chief Operations Officer and founding partner, Dr. Sam Wang and Chiro One Wellness Center of Evanston Clinic Director, Dr. Cori Bauer teamed together to make this dream a reality. Chiro One Wellness Centers is supporting this effort with company-wide volunteers from all locations and Heartland Health Alliance and Inspiration Corporation are generously offering clinic space to provide this benefit to their participants as well as local shelters.
Chiros Care Free Clinic is a non-profit, volunteer based free chiropractic clinic that serves the homeless population of Chicago. Chiros Care is led by Chiro One Wellness Centers' doctors and seeks to provide chiropractic care to Chicago’s neediest. All services are provided at no charge. Prospective patients must be referred by a community outreach group or church or meet eligibility requirements. No appointment necessary. Doing its part to reach out to and support the less fortunate in the Dominican Republic, Chiros Care recently teamed together with ChiroMission for their October 2011 Mission Trip in a humanitarian effort to provide free chiropractic care to villagers and funds to help build an orphanage for abandoned children. Led by Chiro One Wellness Centers’ Doctors of Chiropractic (DCs) and volunteers, Chiros Care traveled to the Dominican Republic and Haitian Villages where they joined the ChiroMission effort to serve over 30,000 impoverished people in need. ChiroMissions’ October 2011 Mission Trip ran from September 28th through October 2nd. Donations were collected by participants to help build the Casa Tesoro de Dios- Treasure House of God Orphanage.
Chiros Care is on a MISSION! Chiros Care also supports missions trip to third world countries, bringing the healing power of Chiropractic care to the less fortunate.
"If you give a little, and I give a little, together we can make a difference," says Pastor Joel Pena, Servant Leader for the Casa Tesoro De Dios Orphanage. "I invite you to be a part of changing the world." The orphanage is currently under construction and a temporary structure has been erected to house the abandoned children. A $3,500 donation was presented to Pastor Joel and Sor Tedora Quezada, affectionately referred to as the “Mother Teresa” of the DR, at the Casa De Oracion which was used as the headquarters for the ChiroMission trip. More funds are needed to complete the concrete building that will house up to 75 children. Chiro One Wellness Centers’ fundraising efforts to help build the orphanage will continue through the end of the year. You can make a difference!
